The Prix Pictet, established three years ago, has become a leading international photography prize dedicated to sustainability. This year the theme is growth and the shortlist has just been published.

The image above, Midway Atoll, 2009 by Chris Jordan is included in the shortlist and “depicts the actual stomach contents of baby birds in one of the world’s most remote marine sanctuaries, more than 2000 miles from the nearest continent.”
