Use of palm oil devastating rainforests

The clearing of rainforests to make way for palm oil plantations is happening at the rate of 30 square miles per day, threatening animals such as orang-utans with extinction.     Hi Mike! I think it’s worth noting however that although general palm oil production is destroying rainforests, there has been a huge push over the past few years for sustainable palm oil production. More and more big named brands are supporting it, including Cadbury’s! Sustainable palm oil production does not cause damage to rainforests.
