Communicating what we are doing with the programme and each of the projects is essential to getting people understanding what we’re doing and how we’re doing it.
From a programme perspective we have this blog, as well as intranet pages, regular email communications to workshop participants and updates in the all staff email. Head of Online Services, Kelly Harrison, and Senior Responsible Officer for the programme and Director of Communications and External Affairs, Edward Venning, have been presenting to senior and middle managers across the organisation over the past few months and will continue to do so.
From a project perspective, each of the project managers creates a communication plan about how they will engage with stakeholders and the wider audience.
One of the initiatives we run here is ‘lunch and learn’ sessions, where members of staff come along and find out more about what a team/project is doing over a buffet lunch.
The sessions are interactive and we are planning a fun session called ‘Digital by Default’ so staff can learn about digital transformation, what we’re looking to achieve and directly feed into how some of our services could look in the future. We will report back on how it goes and some of the ideas that get shared on the day…
