BA (Hons) Advertising student at London College of Communication (LCC), Maria Florez has been invited to spend the summer in Dallas, Texas, to participate in the prestigious Marcus Graham Project’s iCR8 Summer Boot Camp.
After reviewing her portfolio and an interview via Google+ Hangout, Lincoln Stephens, founder of the Graham Project, knew immediately that Maria had to participate in the programme, saying “she has the potential to be leading creative force in our industry and we are excited to do our part in helping her get there through participation in our intense and exclusive summer boot camp.”
Now in its fifth year, iCR8’s primary purpose is to provide culturally diverse aspirants with the exposure and experience necessary to solidify careers within the advertising, media & marketing industry. The summer long boot camp consists of case studies, concept development and the opportunity to create insights-based solutions to social and marketing issues.
The boot camp team will develop a “pop-up” ad agency that they will run for the summer, as they manage the clients that they will partner with. This years client’s include a campaign for peace in Congo called Falling Whistles and Lisnr, a mobile app that aims to change the way that consumers experience audio by turning what has previously been a passive experience into an interactive engagement platform.
