London College of Communication (LCC) alumnus Sthuthi Ramesh recently had a project chosen for a prestigious exhibition in India, part of the London Universities International partnership (LUIP) run by the British Council.
Sthuthi, who completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Design for Visual Communication at LCC, had her typography project chosen from UAL alumni across India to represent the University and attended a launch event at the British High Commissioner’s residence in New Delhi where the Mayor of London Boris Johnson was guest of honour.
The subsequent exhibition, held at the British Council from the 26th of November 2012 to the 2nd December 2012, showcased the works by talented alumni from numerous London Universities aimed at encouraging more students to study in London.
Sthuthi says “It certainly was an honour to be a part of the exhibition. It was a great place to network, as there were artists from different fields also present and it gives me the confidence to move and look forward in the field of design. It was also great to meet Boris Johnson. He entertained the crowd at the launch’s reception with a very relaxed and fun speech and constantly cracked everybody up with his witty sense of humour.“
