Poster Documentary ‘The Rescuers’

A film, line produced by 2007 BA Film and Television (BAFT) graduate, Roopesh Parekh, is premiering at the UK Jewish Film Festival on 17 November 2011. The festival takes place from 1 – 20 November in London.

The Rescuers: Heroes of the Holocaust from filmmaker Michael King uncovers the largely unknown stories of 13 heroic and courageous diplomats who, at tremendous personal cost, saved tens of thousands of Jews during World War II. Critics call the movie “Fascinating. Emotional. Pace Hopping. Heightens the modern relevance for young viewers.”

While studying at LCC, Parekh produced student film ‘Fierce Butterfly’. He now runs his own production company and has produced several short movies. Mr. Roopesh has had great success in his career and has won the Best of The Fest award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival 2011.
