Thursday 2nd June saw the grand opening of Inside Out showcasing the work of final year students from BA Photography, Photojournalism, Book Arts & Design, Film & Television and Sound Arts & Design.

The night was spectacular; the London College of Communication (LCC) is a hub of innovation and talent and every year is more exciting than the previous.

First of all the final years Book Arts & Design show (which has the most diversity), no medium is left untouched or unexplored. A piece to look out for is Charlie Moyler’s graphic book ‘Knowing & Talking’, which is a beautiful series of bound postcards that explore communication.

The Photojournalism students opened my eyes to many different and unusual topics. A series of photographs by Charles Fox in particular. His project explores the wealth and social divide through the residents in Haringey.

The work by the Photography students was outstanding. My favourite piece being ‘Implosion’ by Nina Dmyterko because of its sheer power and tension in the six photos.

Along side this included the Reading Room outside LCC in one of the containers. It is showcasing amazing books, zines, posters from year 1 and 2 students from BA Book Arts & Design.
