Viv Young, a 2008 alumna from MA Screenwriting, currently has two feature films in pre and post production…
‘Shadows From the Sky’ is a thriller about a soldier who discovers one of the biggest cover-ups in aviation history (based on fact) when he sets out to find the truth about a plane crash that killed all onboard, including his ex-girlfriend. The film is an adaptation of the acclaimed novel ‘Toxic Airlines’ with filming to take place in the UK and Australia. ‘Shadows From the Sky’ is currently in pre-production with Sean Bean attached in the lead role.
‘L is for Lala’ is a coming of age feature film about a beautiful young woman who, since childhood, has hidden her true sexuality from everyone except her gay best friend Leon. Determined to follow her dream of becoming an actress, Lala travels to London but falls into a world of drugs and is stalked by her obsessive drug dealer, Danny O’Riley. After being robbed, Lala takes up lap-dancing as a quick way to pay back Danny. The endless partying, attention and easy money pulls Lala further from her dream, spiraling more and more out of control. Can Lala get her life on track and find the courage to tell the world, and her family, who she really is? Starring Tracy Redington, ‘L is for Lala’ is in post-production and should be released by late summer/early autumn.
