Login problem with Proquest articles via e-Library searches

There is currently a known issue with the login process for full-text articles on the Proquest platform via an e-Library search.

Until this problem is fixed, the only workaround is to login to the Proquest platform via the Databases A-Z List and then search for the required article(s) there.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Drop in session for the Materials & Products Collection)

Drop in session Wednesday 22nd February

The Materials and Products Collection at CSM Library (Kings Cross) will be hosting drop-in sessions on Wednesday 22nd February.

Experts on hand to talk with you will be: Margaret Pope (Research consultant) and Jessica Lertvilai (Materials Collection Co-ordinator.)

The drop-in sessions will run from 10.00-1.00pm and 2pm-5pm.

In order to improve off campus access to lynda.com, a new login procedure has been implemented. Please be aware that from today, Friday 10th February, this resource must be accessed by using your UAL username and password via this link:

http://lynda.arts.ac.uk

As previously noted on the guidance page http://www.arts.ac.uk/e-library/databases-a-z/lynda-registration/, the original method of authentication (pre January 2012) has been switched off and data relating to these accounts is no longer accessible.

Please update any local bookmarks for logging in with the above link.

Euromonitor GMID

Library Services has recently updated the authentication link to Euromonitor GMID. Unfortunately this means the service will no longer recognise you as an existing user and you will have to fill in a registration form again. It will only take a minute and just has to be done once, not every time you access the service. It does also mean that anything saved in ‘my pages’ will have been lost.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

ScienceDirect login problems

There is currently a problem with the Shibboleth login for ScienceDirect. The developers at Elsevier are aware of theis problem and are trying to fix it.

In the meantime, if you are on campus, you can access content by going direct to:

We will post a further update when this problem is resolved.

No access to LuxOnline

It has been reported that access to LuxOnline is currently being denied.

This should be a freely accessible web resource. However, this problem has been reported and restored access has been requested.
