Image Tree Display at Southampton Row Library
There is a brand new display in the lobby outside SR Library!
It’s about conducting visual research around a theme or subject matter, creating ‘concept maps’ with imagery and language to give breadth, as well offering guidance on how to source copyright cleared images for education, which you can use in your project work and presentations.
We want to increase awareness that there are a wealth of images accessible via the e-libary and the slide library, which are both wonderfully inspiring resources freely available to all UAL students and staff.
Copies of the guides on how to source copyright cleared images are available from the Slide Library, located on the 5th floor, inside Southampton Row Library.
For the display we conducted visual research on 6 chosen themes and areas: 1950s, dada, fur, melancholy, sculpture and Zaha Hadid. All the images are sourced from the slide library, bridgeman education, and from e-resources listed on the how to guides.
So please do come and have a look!
