Last night saw LCF launch its MA13 season of graduate events with DUODECAD, a collection of performances showcasing work from MA Costume Design for Performance. The event, which was held at the Lilian Baylis Studio at Sadler’s Wells, was produced by Agnes Treplin, Course Leader and featured work from eleven talented graduates all of which presented their work through different performances.

The event forms part of a wider festival of events that runs through until February 2013.

Fashion news and trend site Fashionair has produced a short film following four MA Fashion Design Technology graduates during their preparations for the 2010 catwalk show. The programme gives a behind-the-scenes look at the processes involved in designing a collection for a major show, from concept to catwalk. Interactive display in a room at the Mall Galleries.

A visitor experiences the exhibition first-hand.

The hanging displays were a mix of digital picture frames and engraved metal panels.

Visitors to this year’s MA_10 exhibition in the Mall Galleries experienced an interactive display of graduate work. The installation, created by design agency Kin, combined three interactive touch-screens with a shimmering wall of digital photo frames. While the frames displayed rotating images pulled directly from portfolios on Showtime, the screens allowed access to further images, text and video content organised by student, course and subject area. Visitors could also feed back on their favourite work via a comment form.

Preparations are already under way for this summer’s BA Graduate Exhibition, at which Kin will be re-running the same interactive display, with a few as-yet-undisclosed enhancements…
