megan doyle in the airport on her way to new york

Megan Doyle, BA Costume for performance student, spent five weeks interning at the Costume Workshop at The Metropolitan Opera, New York.

During her time in the Big Apple Megan assisted production supervisors, assistants, shoppers and visiting costume designers at the Opera and was able to enjoy stage-side views of performances such as Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus (The Bat).

Megan first became aware of the internship at the Metropolitan Opera through the LCF Careers service. Megan said that the advisors helped her to write a compelling CV and cover letter which wowed staff at the world-class Metropolitan Opera, known for its grand costumes and scenery, into offering her the position, in spite of her limited musical background.
