As the world tuned in to watch the irreverent and spectacular Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics Games, little did they know that LCF students played an integral part in helping to produce the 10,000 plus costumes which brought the ceremony alive.
Alongside fellow students from University of the Arts London, BA (Hons) Costume for Performance and BA (Hons) Technical Effects for Performance students were drafted in by the London 2012 Organising Committee for their exceptional making skills to perfect the costumes for both the opening and closing ceremonies for the Olympics and Paralympic games. Students have worked tirelessly for many months alongside the costume department to help bring everything together on time.
On the night students from BA (Hons) Make-Up and Prosthetics for Performance and FdA Hair and Make-up for Film and TV who specialise in original make-up for film, television, music and the theatre, helped finish off each performers look.
So, now you know, make sure you take a closer look at our students amazing work when you tune in for the Olympic Games Closing Ceremony on Sunday 12 August and for the Paralympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Have your say!
