DASH Magazine wins Deutsche Bank Award 2012

NoéMie Schwaller, winner of the Fashion Journalism award at LCF’s MA_12 exhibition, is also the editor-in-chief of a new bi-annual magazine combining cutting-edge fashion editorial with traditional fashion illustration, DASH, which has just received a Deutsche Bank Award within the fashion category.

Deutsche Bank launched the Awards for Creative Enterprises scheme in 1993 to offer practical and financial support to artists, craftspeople, designers and performers to start a business or carry out a project in that vital year after leaving college.

The Student Enterprise & Employability centre at UAL co-ordinates the Fashion and Photography awards on behalf of Deutsche Bank.

The first issue of DASH magazine was released on 15 February 2012 and is available for £6 from selected newsagents and booksellers worldwide. NoéMie says

“I am overjoyed to have won the Deutsche Bank Award 2012 with the illustrated fashion print DASH Magazine. The financial support will cover most of the printing costs for the upcoming September issue and will help the magazine grow into a sustainable business. ”
