On 23rd March Fashion Forward opened its door for the fashion savvy at Dubai Design District. The three-day fashion platform presented 38 designers to an audience of over 10,000 guests from across GCC. From designers to merchandisers, media to stylists, all industry leaders and influencers attended the much awaited Fashion Forward. They attended the presentations by regional designers, viewed accessories labels and participated in engaging talks and panel discussions, followed by social and networking events.
Seasoned designers returned to FFWD presenting ready-to-wear, couture and accessory collections, while 13 newcomers debuted their labels this season. Every designer exceeded the expectation and startled the audience with their mind blowing collection. The highlights of the event included sheer luxe and intricacy by Michael Cinco, dark velvet and muted beige by Hessa Falasi, blossoming field by Amato, vintage elegance by Kristina Fidelskaya and 50’s inspired by Hussein Bazaza.
The anticipated ‘d3 Fashion Talks’ headlined by Nowness CEO, Daniel Coutinho, Designer Azza Fahmy, Sarah Hermez, Founder of Creative Space Beirut, CEO of Who’s Next and Premiere Classe, Etienne Cochet and Eddie Mullon, Founder and CEO of Launchmetrics took centre stage conversing industry topics. Discussions included Tradeshows and Showrooms; The Art of Digital Storytelling in Fashion; See Now, Buy Now: Does it work; Creating a Brand That Lasts: The Azza Fahmy Story; E-commerce: How to Jump into the Online Marketplace; Getting Smart on Fashion; and Data is the New Black: Technology and Fashion.
