This summer a selection of Central Saint Martins alumni and staff were given a chance to showcase their work on some of London’s most high-profile billboards by roadside advertising specialists ‘Outdoor Plus’ as part of communication design project #getinframe.
Fashion designer Aimee McWilliams, who graduated from MA Fashion in 2003, industrial designer Marco Monterzino (MA Industrial Design, 2012), artist Rose Robson (BA Fine Art, 2012) and designer Christian Küsters, who teaches on the MA Communication Design course documented their daily lives and creative processes which were displayed across four large-format digital billboards around central London.
The aim of the #getinframe was to challenge the artists and designers to re-think digital outdoor advertising and explore new ways of engaging the audience. Members of the public were invited to engage with the project through social media and to submit their own artwork to be uploaded to the billboards.
