Drama Centre London students win prestigious bursaries

The Jury of the Laurence Olivier Bursary competition – the most prestigious bursary available to acting students in this country, awarded by the Society of West End Theatre – has this year awarded its highest prizes to two candidates representing Drama Centre London.

Second year BA Acting students Eva-Jane Willis and Ken Nwosu were awarded bursaries worth £7,500 and £5,000 respectively. This is the 10th year in a row that DCL students are successful in gaining one of these highly coveted awards, for which all leading drama schools in the UK are only permitted to nominate a maximum of two candidates. It is the first time, however, that both candidates from the same school win two of the highest awards. As the Chair of the Jury commented, “no drama school has ever won so much money in one go”.
