Congratulations to MA Fine Art student Martin Cordiano, who has been selected to represent Central Saint Martins in this year’s Red Mansion Art Prize.
Along with the other 6 finalists from the 7 Postgraduate courses involved, Martin will travel to China to live and work for 4 weeks. The winners will then exhibit their work at the Red Mansion Art Prize 2012 Exhibition in London during March 2013.
The Red Mansion Art Prize was established to promote artistic exchange between China and the UK. Seven colleges take part: The Royal Academy Schools, The Royal College of Art, Chelsea College of Art, Central Saint Martins College, Slade School and Goldsmiths and the Ruskin School, Oxford. Each college short-lists six post-graduate students from which the Red Mansion panel of judges select seven winners, one for each college
The winners travel to China during the summer for one month, where they are given studio space and live and work alongside local artists. Flights, accommodation and living expenses are provided.
