In March and April, Central Saint Martins will be running its popular 4 week Easter School, which offers a fantastic variety of subject areas to join. These courses are designed for students of all ages (18+), as well as courses for teenagers (16-18), that are looking to use their holiday as a time to develop their abilities, create a body of work for a portfolio or simply learn a new skill. Today, we are focusing on some of the courses on offer during week 4: 9 – 13 April 2018.
Cartooning Fundamentals, this beginners course will give you a foundation in the creative and technical aspects of all the applications of cartoon art.
Drawing for 16 to 18 Year Olds, this hands-on class includes drawing techniques, exercises, styles, materials and subjects, from raw sketching to more developed studies.
Fashion Photography, while working as part of a creative team, you will produce and execute a fashion shoot using a professional industry team while on this course.
Fashion Styling And Communication for 16 to 18 Year Olds, this course will introduce you to styling for fashion and examine contemporary magazine shoots and introduce you to working stylists.
Haute Couture Embroidery, will introduce you the fundamentals of haute couture embroidery techniques how they are taught and practiced in France.
Interior Design – Level 2, you will be led through a practical project, while you improve on your existing technical drawing skills and presentation techniques, which will enable you to confront a simple design issue.
Portfolio Development for 16 to 18 Year Olds, this intensive course takes each individual student on a creative journey from initial idea to a portfolio of interconnected works in different media through group activities, research and experimentation.
Typography, a beginners level course that covers the fundamental typographic elements and principles, as well as how to use them effectively and creatively.
Visual Merchandising – Fashion, will have you learning the fundamental principles and techniques involved in visual merchandising for fashion retailers.
