After a successful year winning multiple film industry awards, you can now watch animated short film ‘Sausage’ online.
This self-funded solo project is FdA Illustration visiting lecturer Robert Greive’s first narrative animation. Since its initial launch last year, ‘Sausage’ has won 8 awards at International Film Festivals, including ‘Best Animation’ at the Foyle Film Festival, and has qualified for consideration in the Oscars 2015 shortlist for ‘Best Animated Short Film.’ The Oscars 2015 shortlist will be announced within the next few weeks.
Combining retro graphics and boundless humour, ‘Sausage’ focuses on topical issues of food ethics in a simple but compelling tale of two artisan stallholders. Although a love story with a message, ‘Sausage’ embraces darker and suggestive moments to deliver its final punch.
In his role as visiting lecturer on the FdA Illustration course at Camberwell, Robert uses his 15 years of motion-graphics experience to help students widen their skill set. Following on from his works recent widespread success, Robert will also be holding talks on the importance of self-promotion for designers.
Released on Monday 3 November 2014, you can watch ‘Sausage’ online via this link.
