White Square Students’ Union Teaching Awards

In Spring of this year, White Square Students’ Union   conducted their first ever student-voted teaching awards at University of the Arts London (UAL). Student Union representatives visited each of the 6 colleges which make up UAL and asked students to nominate their favourite members of staff.  From 270 nominations,  only 95 members of staff were selected for Special Recognition. Congratulations to the following members of staff from Camberwell College of Arts  who were among those recognised:

Adrian Holme

Bernd Behr

Derek Yates

Hayde Sacerdote

Hew Locke

Jocelyn Cuming

John Wilkins

Michael Hurly

Neal Moonstone

Neil Drabble

Peter Nencini

Peter Gosnell

Rebecca Fortnum

Simon Burbidge

Thomas Haywood

Tracey Waller

A panel of 10 Course Reps and Union Officers then went on to select the top winners of the White Square Students’ Union Teaching Awards. A special congratulations to Camberwell’s Prize Winner:

Rebecca Fortnum (Reader in Fine Art and Pathway Leader)

One student wrote:  “Rebecca has created a diverse and exciting course that has been a joy to be part of.”

Students’ nominations show how these staff go above and beyond what is expected of them. These winners reflect the best practice at UAL and are shining examples of inspiring, passionate and friendly staff.

Have your say!
