An Update in Pictures

As work progresses steadily on the building development at Camberwell College of Arts we are again at a point where we can see significant changes. Behind the hoardings at Peckham Road, excavation works continue as the old paving is broken up and removed of site in batches.

We previously shown the view looking west over the goods entrance between the 1970’s block and the new academic building. The link between the two buildings can be very clearly seen. When contractors and visitors enter via the site entrance they pass by this link and then pass the Victorian building.

Hi! I always wonder if they are gonna take off the “London Institute” sign from the Peckham Rd building and put the UAL logo instead… I know it’s something historical but it doesn’t make much sense in my opinion…
    Cheers!

    Hi Martin

The old ILEA ‘London Institute’ sign was removed a few weeks ago and has been kept. If you take a look at this post you’ll get an idea of whats planned; including a signage featuring the UAL logo. Please feel free to email me directly c.martin@camberwell.arts.ac.uk if you have any other queries. Thanks!

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply! I actually was referring to the ILEA sign from the Victorian Building, instead of the 70s block one…
    Thanks in advance!
