Tonight is the opening night of the month-long Beyond 2001: New Horizons, an exhibition at LCC that celebrates the 10 year anniversary of the Stanley Kubrick Archive at the ASCC, and features work by staff, students and invited artists across academic disciplines which was inspired by material from the making of Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Over the last few months we’ve hosted tours and group visits to show students highlights from the archive and explain to them how to visit us and have really enjoyed helping to introduce them to the archives. Now we’re looking forward to seeing their responses to the material they’ve engaged with.
The exhibition will open with the inaugural Stanley Kubrick Lecture by Peter Kramer tonight, but there are events scheduled until the exhibition closes on 16th February. You can find out more about these here.
