This summer more of our material is on display in Sounds of the Archive, a free exhibition funded by UAL Library Services and the UAL Enquiry and Innovation fund and held at the LCC Studio in the Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre. Photographs, comic books, zines and posters from several archives and collections will be showcased in an exhibition exploring music and youth culture through the decades. It will evolve throughout the month, with new material being revealed in the windows of the studio for passers-by to see. The exhibition space will also be open to explore. We’re particularly excited to be showing material from two collections which have yet to be catalogued, photographs from the Colin Jones Archive and the recently-acquired Dick Scott-Stewart Archive.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a programme of events including a zine-making workshop, tours of the Archive and Special Collections Centre, round-table discussions and talks.

Material will be visible in the window of the LCC Studios from 17th July – 18th August, with a free launch event on 20thJuly. For more details and to register, please click here .
